• Singing carols in the caves

  This morning one group went off to the slate mine. Even though it was wet that didn't dampen their Christmas spirits as they sang carols in the caves where they could hear the echoes.

  

• Last full day of activities at High Borrans

  After another good night the children are getting ready for breakfast then a day at Humphrey Head where they will enjoy rock-scrambling. When they get back to High Borrans they'll enjoy a camp fire, Christmas dinner and presents. It sounds like an amazing day so I hope that they enjoy it.

• Busy day 3 at High Borrans

  All groups are back at High Borrans and having hot showers before tea. The rain hasn’t dampened spirits though and all are having lots of fun. They’ve definitely earned their delicious meal tonight! The choices are fish or sausage with chips. Yum! 🍴🥄😋😄

• Enterprise crafts

  KS2 have been working very hard this week and have created some amazing items to sell tomorrow as part of their Enterprise week. Alan Sugar's apprentices better watch out! The items will be available to buy to all year groups tomorrow afternoon during school and any spares will be sold from the Y6 door at 3:25pm. Please see any member of KS2 staff or pupils for more details.

  

• Exploring the ropes course

  Mr Piper's group enjoyed orienteering and exploring the ropes course this morning (in the rain!) and were heading off canoeing this afternoon. They are all having a great time, including Mr Piper.

  

• Day 3 High Borrans

  They all had a fantastic day yesterday. Two groups went caving and one group went canoeing. Even the miserable weather didn't put them off!

  They all slept like logs last night and woke up to a yummy hearty breakfast. They're all out again today enjoying the beautiful surroundings in the Lake District.

  

• Great day at High Borrans

  All groups now back at High Borrans after a great day. 2 groups loved caving and the other group enjoyed canoeing. After showering, everybody is looking forward to a delicious meal. Lots of smiling, happy children today. The staff will try to send some pictures through from today if the signal is strong enough, so I’ll post them when I receive them.

  Everyone back at the Centre and ready for their tea after a brisk walk up the hill in the sunshine. The views were amazing!

  

• High Borrans - arrived safely

  The group have arrived safely at High Borrans and had the difficult task of making up their own bed! They have settled in and been given their waterproofs and boots. They're going for a walk up the hill soon where they can look down over Windermere, then back to the Centre for tea.
