Year 4 went to Wallsend Library to meet author and illustrator, Jim Smith who was promoting his new book 'Barry Loser and the Birthday Billions'. The children had great fun learning how to draw illustrations. Jim also autographed and drew illustrations of the children in the books that they bought.
Our Nursery went on a visit to China Town, Newcastle on Thursday 26th January 2017. They visited the local Chinese Supermarket and went for food at The Palace Garden.
Year 2 have been identifying and recording as much wildlife as possible in our school grounds. We undertook a 'bioblitz' investigation where we had to work together to find as many different living things as possible in a certain place over a set period of time. We used nature detective equipment such as magnifying glasses and binoculars. We discussed our findings back in class and talked about the most abundant species that we spotted and the rarest ones. We had a great morning!!!
