100% attendance for the whole term
Thu 29 Mar 2018I am immensely proud of the pupils who have had 100% attendance for the whole term and this afternoon I am delighted to be giving out 69 prizes and certificates. That is a great achievement and the highest number of children with 100% attendance for a term that we have ever had. Well done to all of those pupils!
These were the totals in each class:
Reception = 10 children
Y1 = 7 children
Y2 = 12 children
Y3 = 9 children
Y4 = 11 children
Y5 = 8 children
Y6 = 12 children

Attendance prizes and reminder for eggs and bonnets
Tue 27 Mar 2018I am looking forward to Thursday when I will be giving out certificates and prizes to those children who have 100% attendance for the whole term. This is a fabulous achievement!
Please also remember that on Thursday afternoon Reception and KS1 will be decorating their Easter bonnets and KS2 will be decorating hard-boiled eggs (paper-mache ones are available in some shops!)
Prizes will be awarded to the best ones made in school on Thursday. Remember to bring your hats/eggs and materials to decorate with.

Girls football at Wallsend Boys Club
Tue 27 Mar 2018For all the girls who enjoy playing football, Wallsend Boys Club now have a new centre for girls aged 5-11 too. One of our Y4 girls plays here and it is a fantastic way to have fun, make new friends and develop football skills. ‘Flash mob’ dance
Fri 23 Mar 2018Our ‘flash mob’ dance today for Sports Relief was fabulous! Every child from Nursery to Y6 joined in and we all had such a great time that some children have asked can we do it again one afternoon next week.
We will post photos and videos from it next week once they have been checked for consent.

Amazing 'Stand Up To Cancer' total
Fri 23 Mar 2018Thank you again to all those who donated money to the 'Stand Up To Cancer' charity. I'm delighted to report that we raised an amazing £500 which we will be sending to the charity early next week. That is a fantastic total which will help in the fight against cancer. Thank you. -
Cakes on sale after school today
Thu 22 Mar 2018There will be cakes on sale after school tonight next to the Y6 classroom, which can be accessed from the main yard. All money raised will be sent to the 'Stand Up To Cancer' charity. They are delicious so buy them quickly as they are selling like hot cakes!! -
Stand Up To Cancer coffee morning
Thu 22 Mar 2018Thank you very much to all the parents, carers and helpers who came to our coffee morning to raise money for the 'Stand Up To Cancer' charity.
Stand Up To Cancer takes developments in the labs and accelerates them into brand new tests and treatments for cancer patients who need them right now. 100% of money raised funds ground-breaking cancer treatments that save lives.
We are delighted to have helped to raise money for this worthwhile cause.

Y6 Dance Festival
Wed 21 Mar 2018We have just heard that the postponed Y6 dance festival will now definitely go ahead at Whitley Bay Playhouse on Tuesday 24th April. As soon as they send more information regarding times, tickets etc. I will let you know.
