  • Exciting news!

Wed 26 Feb 2020 Miss Bilton

Starting in September we will be using an exciting new scheme called Commando Joe's. This programme sets missions for pupils to take part in and investigate with an emphasis on teamwork, friendships and resilience through the Character and Essential Life skills programme. By taking part in these missions it also helps children's mental health and builds their confidence, which is very important to us. There will also be fun homework activities to follow the missions, including making a den, trying new things etc.

Check out the website using the following link to find out more about this and to watch an example of one of the missions. We can't wait for September!

  • New reading books

Wed 26 Feb 2020 Miss Bilton

Please read the letter coming home today about our gorgeous new reading books. Remember to return your child's book to school regularly so it can be changed and they can bring home new ones to share with you. Thank you for supporting us in helping your children to develop a love of reading.

A useful video about reading at home and matching reading with phonics sounds can be found following this link

  • Nursery full

Wed 26 Feb 2020 Miss Bilton

As we are now full in our nursery, anyone wishing for their child to start in our nursery who has not already handed in the application form will join our waiting list. If your form has already been accepted this has guaranteed your place, but we cannot guarantee places for new nursery starters for the rest of this academic year.

Nursery places for September are filling up fast so please see our School Office for more information.

    Thank you

  • Quiz night

Mon 24 Feb 2020 Miss Bilton

Tuesday 31st March 2020 ... keep this date free.

Our very own Mr Chapman is arranging a quiz night with our PTA to raise funds for more resources and activities for our school. He is a legendary quiz-master so this should be a great evening. There will be hotdogs, sweets and drinks on sale too and questions for both children and adults. It promises to be a great event so please come along to support it. More information will be coming home soon.

  • Welcome back

Mon 24 Feb 2020 Miss Bilton

It has been lovely to be in every classroom this morning and see all of our pupils back at school and ready to learn. In Reception I was entertained by Isabelle singing and playing the guitar which was amazing...a budding Ed Sheeran in the making!

Watch out for our latest newsletter coming home later this week with dates and information for your diary.
