Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
On Thursday 3rd May our school is to be used as a Polling Station for the elections. We are committed to keeping the whole school open so that we can continue the learning for all children. The voters will be able to enter and exit the Polling Station from the path outside and will not be able to enter any areas where there are children present. Our high standards of safeguarding still remain in place. Please come to speak to me if you have any concerns about this.
The Polling Station will be housed in our KS1 support room which is also the room where our after-school club meet. Please see Pauline or Kerry about the alternative room that they will use in school for Kidds R Us for this one day only.
I will be speaking to the children to day about looking both ways carefully to check for traffic before crossing the road, especially just outside of our school gates. Recently there have been a few mornings where cars turning into our school car park or going to Osborne House have noted pupils and parents walking straight out onto the road without checking and cars have had to stop sharply.
Please could you also reinforce the message at home about looking both ways before stepping out into any road as we want to keep everyone safe.
Thank you
Remember to return your permission slips on Monday ready for the dance festival at The Playhouse, Whitley Bay on Tuesday. Seeing you rehearse today made me so proud and I’m looking forward to being there on Tuesday evening with you to see your final performance.
