  • Inappropriate language

Fri 27 Apr 2018 Miss Bilton
Can I please respectfully remind all parents and carers to not use inappropriate language in our school grounds as 'little ears' are hearing it. We encourage all children to speak appropriately and I would welcome your cooperation with this. Thank you.

  • School used as Polling Station

Fri 27 Apr 2018 Miss Bilton

On Thursday 3rd May our school is to be used as a Polling Station for the elections. We are committed to keeping the whole school open so that we can continue the learning for all children. The voters will be able to enter and exit the Polling Station from the path outside and will not be able to enter any areas where there are children present. Our high standards of safeguarding still remain in place. Please come to speak to me if you have any concerns about this.

The Polling Station will be housed in our KS1 support room which is also the room where our after-school club meet. Please see Pauline or Kerry about the alternative room that they will use in school for Kidds R Us for this one day only.

  • Class photographs consent to be returned

Fri 27 Apr 2018 Miss Bilton
On Thursday 3rd May the school photographer will be in school taking the class photographs. In accordance with GDPR regulations, we are sending a letter home today asking for consent for your child to be included in the class photograph. Please send this consent back to us no later than Tuesday May 1st. If we do not receive a signed consent letter, we will have no option but to not allow your child to be included in the class photograph. Thank you.
  • Safety when crossing the road

Fri 27 Apr 2018 Miss Bilton

I will be speaking to the children to day about looking both ways carefully to check for traffic before crossing the road, especially just outside of our school gates. Recently there have been a few mornings where cars turning into our school car park or going to Osborne House have noted pupils and parents walking straight out onto the road without checking and cars have had to stop sharply.

Please could you also reinforce the message at home about looking both ways before stepping out into any road as we want to keep everyone safe.

    Thank you

  • Amazing Y6 dancers

Wed 25 Apr 2018 Miss Bilton
It was an absolute pleasure to watch our Y6 pupils perform at the North Tyneside Dance Festival last night. Our dance opened the show and we set the standard so high that it made it difficult for others following us! Every one of our dancers was a star and has made Wallsend St. Peter's proud. Well done to you all.
  • Y6 Dance Festival tonight

Tue 24 Apr 2018 Miss Bilton
I'm really looking forward to watching our Y6 perform at The Playhouse, Whitley Bay tonight in the dance festival. If you cannot make the performance, please make sure that your child is collected by an adult at the end of the festival as it will be late. Thank you.
  • Busy week of learning at St. Peter’s

Fri 20 Apr 2018 Miss Bilton
It has been a very busy week at St. Peter’s. On Tuesday we enjoyed our Easter service at church followed by our Easter fayre. On Wednesday many parents and carers attended our parents evening and then we all participated in the Daily Mile launch event on Thursday.  However, we’ve still found the time to focus on our learning and I’ve loved seeing the amazing work this week. It is a real privilege to do this job and help your children to achieve their potential in all subjects.
  • Y6 dance festival

Fri 20 Apr 2018 Miss Bilton

Remember to return your permission slips on Monday ready for the dance festival at The Playhouse, Whitley Bay on Tuesday. Seeing you rehearse today made me so proud and I’m looking forward to being there on Tuesday evening with you to see your final performance.

Please check your letter sent from Miss Abrahams today for any important information.
