Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.

Our EY will reopen to all pupils when the whole school reopens again on Monday 8th March in-line with the Government's announcement.
Please read the letter from Wendy Burke, Director of Public Health North Tyneside and Diane Buckle, Assistant Director of Education about contacting us if your child tests positive for Covid over the February half term holiday. The letter is in the 'newsletters' section of our website.
You will need to telephone us on 07783 871710 and email office@wallsendsteters.org.uk with information so we can inform close contacts. Close contacts will be requested to self isolate for 10 days.
Thank you for your cooperation with this as our school community works together to stop the spread of this virus.
While you are all doing an amazing job helping your child at home with their learning we understand that sometimes it can be difficult and the grammar tasks can often be quite tricky. From 25th January we have been able to offer all of our school staff twice weekly rapid COVID-19 tests. These are taken on Sundays and Wednesday evening/Thursday mornings at home and provide results in 30 minutes. These results will enable us to quickly identify where there are positive cases of COVID-19 in our staff team, particularly when they have no symptoms (asymptomatic) and would otherwise not know that they were infectious.
As before, if we have a positive case within school we would have to close the bubble in which the child or staff member works. This is for the safety of all and to prevent wider transmission of the virus.
We will be in touch with you via text as soon as possible, but definitely before 8am on Monday or Thursday mornings if we have to close a bubble due to a positive test result.
By joining this regular testing regime, it will help identify positive cases more swiftly and help to keep our staff, children and families as safe as possible.
If you have any questions regarding this, please email office@wallsendstpeters.org.uk
Stay safe.
