Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
I am immensely proud of the pupils who have had 100% attendance for the whole term and this afternoon I am delighted to be giving out 69 prizes and certificates. That is a great achievement and the highest number of children with 100% attendance for a term that we have ever had. Well done to all of those pupils!
These were the totals in each class:
Reception = 10 children
Y1 = 7 children
Y2 = 12 children
Y3 = 9 children
Y4 = 11 children
Y5 = 8 children
Y6 = 12 children
Can I please remind you that if you have changed your home or mobile telephone numbers, please inform our school office so that we can update our records. This is important so that we can get in touch with you if there is an emergency or to pass on any information.
Thank you.
I am looking forward to Thursday when I will be giving out certificates and prizes to those children who have 100% attendance for the whole term. This is a fabulous achievement!
Please also remember that on Thursday afternoon Reception and KS1 will be decorating their Easter bonnets and KS2 will be decorating hard-boiled eggs (paper-mache ones are available in some shops!)
Prizes will be awarded to the best ones made in school on Thursday. Remember to bring your hats/eggs and materials to decorate with.
For all the girls who enjoy playing football, Wallsend Boys Club now have a new centre for girls aged 5-11 too. One of our Y4 girls plays here and it is a fantastic way to have fun, make new friends and develop football skills. If you would like more information, please contact carl.wallsendboysclub@gmail.com and search for Wallsend BC Wildcats.
Our ‘flash mob’ dance today for Sports Relief was fabulous! Every child from Nursery to Y6 joined in and we all had such a great time that some children have asked can we do it again one afternoon next week.
We will post photos and videos from it next week once they have been checked for consent.
Strictly Come Dancing eat your heart out!
Thank you very much to all the parents, carers and helpers who came to our coffee morning to raise money for the 'Stand Up To Cancer' charity.
Stand Up To Cancer takes developments in the labs and accelerates them into brand new tests and treatments for cancer patients who need them right now. 100% of money raised funds ground-breaking cancer treatments that save lives.
We are delighted to have helped to raise money for this worthwhile cause.
