Year 6

Morning everyone! Last day of isolation! Hope everyone is well and we will have a great final week to the year! Please find our work for today and the final chapters of She Wolf

Good morning everyone! Sorry for adding the wrong chapters for guided reading yesterday. Today we will do double reading as we will need to finish the book this week.

Good morning everyone! I am having some technical issues at the moment but am up and running again. Work will be on the school website as soon as possible! While you are waiting, you can log in to Times Table Rock Stars to practice your mental arithmetic!

Morning everyone! Hope everyone is well and working hard! Please find attached our work for today! We will need to bring our science fiction stories into school (or emailed to the school office if possible) when we return so we can compare them to our cold writes and look at all of the fantastic improvements we have made.

Wednesday 3rd December - Good morning everyone! Please find attached our work for today. If possible, remeber you can submit your work to the school office!

Over the course of isolation, remeber to log in to Times Table Rockstars and practice your times tables. If you can go on for 15 minutes a day, that would be great! If you have lost or forgotten your log in then contact the school office and I can get your login information :)

Over the next few days, we are hoping to have our new Chromebooks up and running. Below you will find a copy of the homeschool agreement we will ask all parents/carers to sign when collecting them for home use. It covers the expectations regarding proper use.

As you will all know, our year 6 bubble has unfortunately had to close and will remain in isolation for the next 2 weeks. While this is extremely disappointing to both myself and Mrs McGinley, we must follow the guidance from Public Health England.  From tomorrow, school work will still be provided and will be placed on this page. I will aim to make it as accessible as possible for children as they learn from home. We will continue with our class book study of She Wolf and also complete our science fiction writing module. The children were also due to begin exploring multiplication and division during in maths. As this is an integral part of our maths curriculum and one that can be difficult for children to grasp, I will be starting this module after Christmas. Instead, children will be briefly recapping addition, subtraction and number and place value as well as focusing on areas such as shape, space and coordinates. If you have any questions about work or anything else regarding school, please feel free to contact the school.

Stay safe everyone,

Mr Chapman and Mrs McGinley
