Exciting competition open to our North East Schools only

Did you know following instructions and making yummy treats together can an improve a child’s literacy development?

Greggs Foundation has teamed up with [readnortheast.org.uk]Read North East, the campaign from the [literacytrust.org.uk]National Literacy Trust and supported by the North East Literacy Forum, to offer families across the region the chance to win a £20 Greggs voucher when stores reopen.

To get your hands on the voucher, we’re asking families to have a go at recreating Greggs’ famous Jammy Heart Biscuit at home! All you have to do is:

• Visit the Read North East Facebook page or [readnortheast.org.uk]website, where you’ll find the Jammy Heart Biscuit recipe sheet and a list of everything you need to make them
• Follow the recipe instructions and take a photo of your completed baked goods
• Send your picture in to readnortheast@literacytrust.org.uk with your child’s name, age and school. Or you can post it on social media using #ReadNorthEast and #Greggs4Good.

The competition is open to families living across the North East of England and will close on Friday 17 July 2020.
